Resources for Educators

The Yakima Humane Society understands that a better life for people and companion animals begin with providing our youth with the information and resources they need to become responsible pet owners and advocates for the humane treatment of all living things.

With this in mind, we want to make it easier for you to utilize our humane education curriculum with your students. Our Humane Education Kit has all the information you will need to book an educational presentation, coordinate with the Yakima Humane Society on class community service and fundraising projects in order to provide students with educational programs that integrate humane education concepts into your curriculum.

We are always looking for ways to improve our programs and better serve the community. We encourage you to contact us with your animal related interests, concerns, and needs. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to learn more about our educational programs and services please contact our Outreach & Education Manager at (509) 457-6854 ext. 106 or outreach@yakimahumane.org.

Thank you for all that you do for students and we hope to hear from you soon!
