We rescue, reunite, rehabilitate, and re-home 5,000 to 7,000 animals every year. We rely on donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations to save lives. There are several ways to contribute to our lifesaving efforts.
Humane Hero - Monthly Giving Program
Please become a Humane Hero by joining our monthly giving program! Monthly giving is an easy way to help Yakima Humane Society do even more to save lives and help animals all year long. Your contribution will be automatically charged to credit card at the same time each month until you cancel. A minimum $10 monthly contribution is required for participation in this life-saving program. Donate now. (Don't forget to select "monthly" under the frequency tab to ensure your recurring gift). The animals thank you for being their hero!
Sponsor a Kennel
Sponsor a kennel in our Adoption Center! When you become a kennel sponsor, a personalized plaque will be placed on your choice of either a cat or dog kennel for one year. A plaque will be personalized in your name, your company's name, or in honor or memory of a beloved family member, special friend, or cherished pet. Kennel sponsorships are available for kennel runs at $1,000 and for condos at $500. Sponsoring a kennel helps us offer a second chance to homeless pets, providing them with shelter, nutritious food, fresh clean water, medical care and an opportunity to be adopted into a permanent loving home. Sponsor your kennel today!
Emergency Medical Fund
The Emergency Medical Fund enables us to provide life-saving medical care to injured or sick cats and dogs who arrive at our shelter; these animals would otherwise face the possibility of euthanasia without the medical treatment necessary to rehabilitate them. Once rehabilitated, these special pets can be adopted into a new loving home. Your gift gives them a second chance. Donate now.
Spay & Neuter Assistance Fund
The Spay & Neuter Assistance Fund is utilized to assist low-income community members with the costs of spaying or neutering their cherished pets, helping to reduce pet overpopulation in our community. Many community members wish to have their pets spayed or neutered to prevent unplanned litters, but lack the resources to do so. This fund is used to subsidize the already low fees at our Spay & Neuter Clinic so that low-income pet owners can have their pets spayed or neutered. Your gift can help curb pet overpopulation in our community. Donate now.
Community Cat Fund
The Community Cat Fund supports Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts through our Valley Katz program. The Valley Katz program is a Yakima Humane Society initiative to humanely manage community cats in Yakima County by providing medical care and spay or neuter services to this underserved population. Community cats (also referred to as "feral" cats) are trapped in neighborhoods around our community, transported to our Spay & Neuter Clinic for surgery, given vaccinations and provided medical care as needed, and then released back to their homes. You can help save the lives of countless community cats with your gift. Donate now.
If you work for a company with a matching charitable gift program, you can double your gift to the animals. Be sure to include your matching gift form when you mail your donation to our administrative office - we'll submit the form for you. Mail your donation along with the matching gift form to: 2405 West Birchfield Road, Yakima, WA 98901.
