Volunteer Application
- A parent or adult must supervise volunteers 12-15 years of age at all times while volunteering for the Humane Society of Central Washington. Parents or Supervising adults must complete a separate Volunteer Application.
- Youth Volunteers must have current medical insurance and a parent/guardian must review and sign the HSCW Volunteer Agreement.
- Although it is not required, it is preferred that a commitment of at least 4 hours per month for 6 months be made.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: I acknowledge that I am aware that there are certain risks involved in working with animals, including but not limited to bites, scratches, zoonotic diseases and allergic reactions. I am also aware that there maybe certain risks involved with using certain cleaning products while performing my duties at the Humane Society of Central Washington. I assume such risks of my own free will and take any risks knowingly by choice. I understand that I am not an employee of the Humane Society of Central Washington and I will not receive any wages or other compensation for my volunteer hours. I am also aware that I am not covered under L&I insurance and any medical care required by me will be at my own expense. I certify that I will not hold the Humane Society of Central Washington, its employees, the Executive Director, Board of Directors or its' agents responsible in any way for any injury to myself while performing my volunteer duties at the shelter or any location where I will be acting as an agent for the Humane Society of Central Washington.

The Humane Society of Central Washington is a full-service facility providing shelter for stray animals and owner surrendered pets. We make every effort to ensure that these animals find a new home, however there are times when an animal will be Euthanized (humanely put to sleep). What are your feelings about this?
